Formlabs’ Finishing Tools is a curated set of stereolithography (SLA) postprocessing tools said to streamline the postprocessing workflow and make it easier to produce high-quality parts. The company says this tool bundle removes the guesswork regarding which tools are needed to complete a project, and it can also accelerate both postprocessing and cleaning to quickly and easily produce high-quality parts.

The Finishing Tools bundle includes eight different types of tools: An ergonomic pen sander creates a uniform surface finish on flat and gently curved parts. The rotary tool removes support marks and enlarges holes. A rotary tool bit kit has grinding and polishing bits (for grinding and sanding parts), as well as buffing bits (for creating a uniform finish after grinding and sanding).

The kit also includes flush cutters to removes support tips; and a hobby knife and blades for precisely removing individual support tips. It also comes with a spray bottle for dispensing IPA or water to remove dust, or mineral oil to polish surfaces. A microfiber cloth cleans dust from sanded or polished parts, while a large silicone mat protects work surfaces throughout the finishing process.
