Achieving Sustainability with Next-Gen Mold Release Systems

November 08, 2022 |

Decarbonization of a composites fabrication operation requires across-the-board materials and process assessment to find opportunities for creating a more sustainable manufacturing environment.

Decarbonization of a composites fabrication operation requires across-the-board materials and process assessment to find opportunities for creating a more sustainable manufacturing environment. Mold release systems should be part of this effort. This webinar will walk you through the types of mold cleaners and release systems that align with good sustainability practices. Russ Powers will talk in particular about the use of Chem-Trend water-based mold releases and how they can help reduce your carbon footprint.

Agenda:

  • Trends and regulations related to the use of ozone-depleting raw materials
  • High-performing solvent-based release products designed to be HAPs-free
  • Solvent-based vs. water-based technology: the challenges of designing for performance
  • Characteristics of advanced water-based release products available today
  • Advantages of shifting to water-based mold release systems (cleaner, primer, sealer and release)

Presenter 1:
